The flowers are so beautiful. I love them.

Everyone needs a hug, especially, the guy with the black shirt that says TALENT.

I like this picture because everyone looks like they are flying and the lovely girl with the white scarf is so cute.
Baba Sensei's class is always a lot of fun. We’ve become like a family.

茶道 was very interesting. The Tea and sweets were delicious.

We made new friends and had a great time at 茶道.

We learned how to weave beautiful souvenirs that we were able to take home at the museum.

We learned a lot this day about Japanese handmade crafts. The people who taught us were very kind and were very talented.

The park was beautiful and even though it was raining, we had a great time.

We learned how to make Japanese pottery. This picture is great because we’re all so interested in his instructions.

He is very talented at making pottery. We learned a lot from him.

These are the beautiful and unique pottery that we made. It was very fun.

After we all enjoyed delicious tea in special cups the pottery makers made.

This was a very fun day. Everyone was great and participated in the Samba Otemoyan.

The Samba was such a fun dance to learn.

She is teaching us how to open the paper fans. Even something as simple as opening the fan was a very difficult task. All the fans were beautiful.

Everyone participated in learning Traditional Japanese dances. It was very interesting.
The dances were challenging but really enjoyable. Everyone tried their best!

This is when we went to make traditional Japanese Pottery. It was very interesting to see how the clay is shaped using the hand powered wheel. Even though we started with the same materials, everyone made something completely different.

This is us making pottery. This was my first time making pottery, and it was a lot of fun. It was really nice to see the different ways the students designed and decorated their cups and bowls. Our instructor’s workshop was filled with so many beautiful sculptures—I really enjoyed this experience!

This picture was taken after we visited the 熊本伝統工芸館 where we looked at some of the traditional crafts that Kumamoto citizens made. We even got to learn how to make some small wall-hangings using Kumamon (Kumamoto’s mascot) pictures.

This is a picture from when we experienced traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, 茶道, with the school’s Tea Ceremony Club. After the ceremony, we even got to make the tea by ourselves. It was a lot of fun even though sitting in 正座 for a long time was a little painful!
